The last few days have been a whirlwind of tragedy met with acts of service by the community in the face of the #carrfire. We’ve had the privilege of serving alongside community partners such as Shasta College, Simpson University, Foothill High School, Haven Humane Society, Mt. Shasta Mall and many many more.
Together we have served approx. 2,000 free meals since Friday and our executive chef, James Vereb, is partnering with Chef Guy Fieri in order to serve another approx. 1,500 people.
Moseley Family Cellars served hotel and restaurant guests with complimentary wine, Ecolab was really helpful and brought extra chemicals, hand washing stations, and supplies to Shasta College for our culinary team to use. Mission Linen Supply stepped up and provided much-needed supplies at the last minute.
We have also had lots of people come into the lobby and offer their services such as cleaning, laundry, and more. Our community is hurting, but together we are stronger.
